Sarah Boswell
Director and PreK Teacher
Sarah grew up in Oklahoma where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She was as a 3rd grade teacher for several years before her children were born. Sarah and her husband Jimmy have 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. They lived a few years overseas in Ireland before moving to Oregon in 2015. This is her 9th year at KOK. One thing Sarah loves when working with kids is seeing the excitement on their faces when they make connections and when they discover they CAN do something on their own! When Sarah isn’t at KOK, she spends her time at her kids’ ballgames and activities, traveling, and enjoys cooking.
Hyeyeon Kim
Assistant PreK Teacher
Hyeyeon has been teaching preschoolers for 6 years and has been a piano teacher for 27 years. She has 1 daughter who is a Junior at college in Ohio. Most weekends you can find her on a boat fishing, or on the coast digging for clams.
Wendy Roeder
3’s Tues/Wed/Thurs Teacher & Toddler/Parent Teacher
Wendy Roeder is a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church for over 25 years and is on the Board of Kids of the Kingdom Christian Preschool since the Preschool opened in 2010. Her education earned her a BS and MBA from Arizona State University in Accounting. After 8 years in the financial arena, she focused on raising three wonderful children, two girls and one boy. They moved to 3 different states in a span of 4 years before returning to Oregon where they have lived since 1990. Wendy loves working with children and seeing the world through their eyes. Their joy and wonder are uplifting. Wendy is a grandmother to two small granddaughters and feels blessed.
Jasmine Hawkins
3s Tues/Thurs Teacher
This is Jasmine’s first year teaching at KOK! Both of her boys have attended KOK. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. GO HUSKERS! Jasmine and her husband Daryle have 2 boys, Quentin (7) and Tristan (4). When she’s not at KOK, you will find her babying her houseplants, on a soccer field, or at the track with her family.
